Bard of Dreiburgen Competition

[frog pince] This year's Dreiburgen Anniversary will include the first Bard of Dreiburgen Competition. This competition will be held yearly, with the winner serving as Court Bard to the Baroness of Dreiburgen. Responsibilities of this position are:

  • To perform for the Baroness and the court at the request of Her Excellency, the Baroness of Dreiburgen.
  • To represent the Barony in any Bardic Competition or event.
  • To compose a praise piece for the winner of the Baronial Championship (starts at Dreiburgen Anniversary, 2007).
  • To compose pieces for visiting guest of the Barony of Drieburgen at the Her Excellency's request.

This first Bard of Dreiburgen Competition will be judged on the following categories.

  1. Best song, story, or poem chronicling the lineage of the Barons and Baronesses of Dreiburgen (see below).
  2. Best original song, story, or poem in a period style.
  3. A song, story, or poem of the performer's choice.

Judging will be by Her Excellency Baroness Robynne the Grey and His Excellency Thomas Bordeaux. For more information please contact Baron Thomas at
